CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION 99-032
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING COMMUNITY SCHOOLS GRANT FUNDS FROM
THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Kenai Peninsula Borough
for the Community Schools program; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the grant, the City must provide equal matching funds; and
WHEREAS, local matching funds are provided through the collection of participant fees; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to partner with the Kenai Peninsula Borough to
provide this program of adult and youth activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Grant funds totaling $7,000 are hereby accepted from the Kenai Peninsula
Borough.
Section 2. The sum of$7,000 is hereby appropriated from the Community Schools Revenues
Account No. 101O-4470-XXX. $7,000 is appropriated from the Parks and Recreation Grants
Account No. 101-4470-0130, and the total sum of$14,000 is appropriated to Community Schools
Expenditures Account No. 101-1422-XXXX as follows:
REVENUES EXPENSES
101-4470-0130 (P&R Grants) $7,000. 101-1422-5010 (Salaries) $12,852.
101-4470-0030 (Class Regist.) 5,000. 101-1422-5090 (SocSec Tax) 1,070.
101-4470-0010 (public Use) 1,000. 101-1422-5080 (Work Comp) 78.
10 1-4470-0020 (punch Cards) 1,000.
Total $14,000 Total $14,000
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
