RESOLUTION 99-035
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE PARKING EXPENSES
BUDGET AND REVENUES BUDGETS FOR THE PARKING REVENUE
FUND, IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,588.00 IN REVENUES AND $38,000 IN
OPERATING AND PERSONNEL EXPENSES
WHEREAS, On March 8, 1999, Resolution 99-024, awarding a parking management
contract, failed to pass, and the Administration believes this requires the City to complete these
requirements in-house; and
WHEREAS, An undertaking such as this cannot be absorbed within the framework of
existing personnel; and
WHEREAS, For the City to provide parking management and enforcement services, a
budget allowing for personnel, operating supplies, other expenses and revenues for the remainder
ofthis fiscal year, i.e. May 1 through June 30, 1999 needs to be authorized
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A revenue budget shall reflect an increase of $10,588.00 for the parking
revenue fund, Account Number 403-4030-4460-XXXX.
Section 2. An expense budget shall reflect increases of$20,000.00 in personnel Account
Numbers 403-4030-5XXX, and $18,000.00 in operating expenses, Account Numbers 403-4030-
5XXX, for a total of$38,000.00.
Section 3.
This resolution shall take effect immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 22 day
of March, 1999.
