RESOLUTION 99-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AMERICAN WITH
DISABILITIES ACT CAMPGROUND IMPROVEMENTS AND INST ALLA-
TION OF UTILITY SITES TO WATERFRONT PARK GRANT BY
ADDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEWAGE DUMP STATION,
AND REMOVING ADDITIONAL UTILITY SITES, AS A PURPOSE
OF THE GRANT
WHEREAS, City Council accepted Municipal Matching Grant funds for the intention of
ADA park improvements and adding utility camping sites; and
WHEREAS, City Council priorities have changed such that additional utility sites are no
longer desirable; and
WHEREAS, a sewer dump station is requested within the municipal campgrounds to replace
the inappropriate location of the sole, public dump station on 4th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward requested a grant name and intent change to allow for the
addition of a sewer dump station and the deletion of utility camp sites
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The new purpose of State grant # 99/668-9-002 shall be the construction of ADA
park improvements and a sewer dump station.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 9 day
of August, 1999.
