RESOLUTION NO. 99-120
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY $70,000 TO THE
SEWARD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AS A CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS
VISITOR INFORMATION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Seward Chamber of Commerce has requested $70,000 of the hotelJroom
(bed) tax be used for visitor information services; and
WHEREAS, monies in the amount of $70,000 were budgeted in the six month budget
ending December 31, 1999 as a contribution to the Seward Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, since the request is over $10,000, council approval is required:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is authorized to pay $70,000 to the Seward Chamber of
Commerce as a contribution toward visitor information services
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23 day
of August, 1999.
