CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-005
OF
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE FINAL TASK ORDER TO CLOSE
OUT THE DRYDEN & LARUE CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING AND
DESIGN OF THE TRANSMISSION LINE
WHEREAS, the city council authorized the city manager to award
a professional services contract to Dryden & Larue to design the
transmission line from mile 25, Seward highway, to the city of
Seward; and
WHEREAS, the council has authorized task orders 1 through 4
which authorized only a portion of the design work; and
WHEREAS, the scope of the total design work cannot be
reasonably defined; and
WHEREAS, the day to day work by Dryden & Larue is subject to
direction of the city staff, and the payments to the firm will be
based on the actual work performed; and
WHEREAS, the actual work performed to date does not exactly
match that described in task order no. 1 through 4 because of
required changes in the scope of work as the work progressed; and
WHEREAS, task order no. 5 is intended to supersede all
previous task orders and authorize completion of the design and
engineering work without issuing additional task orders;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Task order no. 5, superseding task orders no. 1
through 4 and authorizing total expenditures for performed
engineering and design service not to exceed $478,505.00 is hereby
approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 13th day of January, 1992.
