CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.1
TO THE MARATHON FUEL CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has a contract with Marathon Fuel to provide
petroleum products to the city; and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 1991, the city experienced an electrical line failure,
necessitating the use of the city's emergency power generators; and
WHEREAS, this emergency power generation was on line until the first week of
January 1992; and
WHEREAS, during the period December 17-31, 1991, Marathon Fuel provided
around-the-clock service for the city's fuel tanks to assure continued operation of the
generators; and
WHEREAS, because of this incident, the city's demand for fuel exceeded the
contract with Marathon Fuel by $90,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No.1 to the Marathon Fuel contract for the provision
of petroleum products, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference,
is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
27th day of January, 1991.
