CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-014
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
CH2M HILL TO DESIGN A STORM WATER DRAINAGE
SYSTEM AT THE SPRING CREEK CORRECTIONAL CENTER
WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been budgeted from the construction funds for
the Spring Creek Correctional Center facility to correct stonn water drainage problems;
and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities has
requested proposals for professional design work in accordance with state of Alaska
purchasing regulations; and
WHEREAS, state purchasing regulations are similar or more stringent than Title
6 of the Seward City Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. It is in the public interest to waive city bid procedures and to accept
the bids submitted in response to the state request for proposals to design the stonn
water drainage system at the Spring Creek Correctional Center.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
CH2M Hill in an amount not to exceed $30,000 to provide the design services described
above.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
27th day of January, 1992.
