CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-019
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CH2M HILL
TO PROVIDE DESIGN SERVICES AND PREPARE CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTS TO REPAIR AND RESTORE LOWELL POINT LAGOON
WHEREAS, the city experienced a total failure of the Lowell Point Sewage Lagoon
in the fall of 1991; and
WHEREAS, the city of Seward formally advertised for proposals to provide design
services and prepare construction documents to repair Lowell Point Lagoon; and
WHEREAS, three proposals were received on January 22, 1992, and CH2M Hill
was found to be the best qualified firm to provide the services; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project is available from disaster assistance funds
provided by the State of Alaska;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a contract to CH2M
Hill for professional services for an amount not to exceed $52,500.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of February, 1992.
