RESOLUTION 2001-007
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RECLASSIFY THE
CONTROLLER POSITION FROM A RANGE 23 TO A RANGE 20-23 AND
CHANGE THE TITLE TO ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR, THE ACCOUNT-
ING TECHNICIAN I POSITION FROM A RANGE 11 TO A RANGE 12AND
THE CASHIER/RECEPTIONIST POSITION FROM A RANGE 10 TO A
RANGE 11
WHEREAS, the City Manager has developed a plan for the reorganization of the
Administration and Finance Departments; and
WHEREAS, this plan would result in the Finance Department decreasing in size by one
employee; and
WHEREAS, the work currently done by eight employees would then be absorbed into the
others in the department resulting in increased workloads; and
WHEREAS, this should be compensated for by three employee promotions and the
reclassification of three positions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to reclassify the Controller position from a Range
23 to a Range 20-23 and change the title to Accounting Supervisor; and
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to reclassify the Accounting Technician I position
from a Range 11 to a Range 12; and
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to reclassify the Cashier/Receptionist position
from a Range 10 to a Range 11.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

ofJanuary,2001.
