RESOLUTION 99-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING COMMUNITY SCHOOLS GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a $5,600 grant from the Kenai Peninsula Borough
for the Community Schools program; and
WHEREAS, under the terms ofthe grant, the City must provide equal matching funds; and
WHEREAS, local matching funds are provided through the collection of participant fees;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to partner with the Kenai Peninsula Borough to
provide this program of adult and youth activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Grant funds totaling $5,600 are hereby accepted from the Kenai Peninsula
Borough.
Section 2. Within the current, six-month fiscal year, the sum of $2,800 is hereby
appropriated from the Community Schools Revenues Account No. 101-4470-XXXX. $2,800 is
appropriated from the Parks and Recreation Grants Account No. 101-4470-0130, and the total sum
of $5,600 is appropriated to Community Schools Expenditures Account No. 101-1422- XXXX as
follows:

Section 3. The remaining grant funds, in the amount of$2,800 will be matched by the City,
and the total amount of $5,600 will be appropriated within the CY2000 budget.

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 13 day
of September, 1999.
