RESOLUTION 2001-097
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH ALASKA SALES & SERVICE TO PURCHASE A
REPLACEMENT VEHICLE FOR THE HARBOR DEPARTMENT FOR
$34,837.00
WHEREAS, the Harbor Department collects and delivers used oil to and from various
facilities in town and is responsible for used oil collection and recycling; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward Council approved solicitation of bids for the vehicle
replacement and approved an appropriation for the purchase by Resolution 2001-066; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received and Alaska Sales and Service is the low bidder with an
amount of$34,837.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Alaska Sales and
Service to purchase a replacement vehicle for the Harbor Department for $34,837.00.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 13th day
of August 200 I.
