RESOLUTION NO. 78-41
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE
NOMINATION OF CERTAIN LANDS FOR A CONVEYANCE
FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA TO THE CITY OF SEWARD PURSUANT
TO THE MUNICIPAL LAND ENTITLEMENT ACT
WHEREAS, the City is eligible to select certain vacant
and unappropriated state lands for a conveyance from the State of
Alaska to the City pursuant to the Municipal Land EDtitlement Act
(As 29.18); and
WHEREAS, certain available lands have been identified
as being desirable for nomination as City selections, and
WHEREAS, AS 29.18 permits the City to nominate 150 per-
cent of its selection entitlement of 562 acres.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA:
SECTION I. That the following described lands are
hereby nominated by the City Council for conveyance from
the State of Alaska to the City pursuant to the Municipal
Land Entitlement Act:
(1) U.S. Survey #4827
U.S. Survey #4828
Comprising 473.87 Acres, more or less.
(2) A parcel of land within Sect. 18, TIS, RIE, Sew-
ard Meridian, Alaska containing 225 Acres, more or less
and located to the East of the parcels described by
U.S. Survey 4828, U.S. Survey 1651 and U.S. Survey 4827.
Beginning at the Southeast corner of U.S. Survey 4827,
thence Northeasterly at a bearing of N 510 OO'E to a
point on the common line between Sect 18 & Sect 19,
thence Northerly along said line to the Northeast cor-
ner of Sect 18, thence Westerly to the ~oundary line of
U.S. Survey 4828, thence Southerly along the East
boundary line of U.S. Survey 4828 to the Northerly
boundary line of U.S. Survey :651, thence ~asteriy along said
boundary line to the Northeast corner of U.S. Survey
1651, thence Southerly to the point of beginning.
(3) A parcel of land within Sect 17, TIS, RIE, Seward
Meridian, Alaska containing 144 Acres, more or less.
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 17, thence
Southerly for a distance of approximately 3030 feet
along the common line between Sect 17 and Sect 18,
thence Northeasterly at a bearing of N63000'E for an
approximate distance of 3055 feet, thence Northerly at
a bearing of NOoOO' to the common line between Sect 17
and Sect 8, thence Westerly to the point of beginning.

SECTION II. That this resolution takes effect immediate-
ly upon adoption.
