RESOLUTION NO. 79-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD ACCEPTING
THE HIGHEST SEALED BID FOR LOT 6, BLOCK 8, CLIFF ADDITION AND
PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION THEREOF BY SALE.
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is the owner of that certain real property
located within the City of Seward more particularly described as follows:
Lot 6, Block 8, Cliff Addition, Located in
the Seward Recording District, Third Judicial
District, State of Alaska.
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that it is in the public interest
to dispose of such land by sale and to utilize the sealed bid method of public
sale;and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that this land has not previously
been dedicated to any public purpose, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the disposition of this land has
previously been held pursuant to the provisions of Section 2-82 of the Seward
City Code; and
WHEREAS, the sealed bid procedure for disposal of land contained in
Section 2-91 of the Code has been followed; and
WHEREAS, the appraised value of the lot has been established by qualified
appraisal to be $5,000.00 and
WHEREAS, the bids received for the property were as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD
that,
Sec. 1. The bid of Patrick O'Brien in the amount of $5.000.00
is hereby accepted as the highest bid for the purchase of Lot 6, Block 8, Cliff
Addition.
Sec. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a deed for this
property to the highest bidder upon full payment of tne bid not later than
three days from this date.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 13th day of August, 1979.
