CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A VENDOR PERMIT
TO THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE SPRING FLING
WHEREAS, the Seward Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual "Spring Fling"
on May 14 and 15, 1994, at the Wellington Pavilion and Adams Street Pavilion; and
WHEREAS, the main activities to be held include the third annual chili cook-off,
a fashion show and a community flea market; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has requested a vendor permit to conduct
this community event; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 92-12 provides that solicitation of funds or sales on city
property is prohibited unless specifically authorized by resolution of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Seward Chamber of Commerce is authorized to conduct
community activities at the Wellington and Adams Street Pavilions on May 14 and 15,
1994.
Section 2. The Chamber of Commerce will provide proof of insurance prior to
conducting any activity on city property.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
14th day of March, 1994.
