CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-040
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN
ANESTHESIA MACHINE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. 93-173, accepting grant
funds from the State Capital Matching Grant Projects Program for the purchase of an
anesthesia machine for Seward General Hospital; and
WHEREAS, the Community Hospital Board has approved a resolution recom-
mending that the City Council authorize the purchase of an anesthesia machine; and
WHEREAS, the hospital administration has researched the purchase of an
anesthesia machine and recommends the purchase of the Ohmeda Modulus II Plus
Anesthesia System; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds within the hospital budget to provide the
local match;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Seward General Hospital is hereby authorized to purchase the Ohmeda
Modulus II Plus Anesthesia System for a total cost not to exceed $40,000.
Section 2. State Capital Matching Grant Funds totalling $21,175 are hereby
appropriated from State Grant Revenues Account No. 286-2861-4680-0200 to Operating
Transfers to Seward General Hospital Account No. 286-2861-3070-0286.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
29th day of March, 1994.
