CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-047
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF HIGH MAST
ELECTRICAL POLES AND LIGHTS FROM ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTORS, INC.
WHEREAS, on February 28,1994, the City Council approved Resolution No. 94-
026. authorizing the purchase and installation of two loo-ft. Highmast 6,000 watt lighting
fixtures in the area east of the North Dock; and
WHEREAS, since that time, the city has properly advertised a request for bids to
provide the highmast lights; and
WHEREAS, due to a late delivery by DHL, the only response to the request for
bids was received after the deadline for receiving bids; and
WHEREAS, the bidder, Electric Distributors, Inc., was the supplier of the other
high mast lights located at the Marine Industrial Center; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to waive the minor irregularity caused by
the late delivery of the bid and issue a purchase order to EDI for the purchase of the
highmast lights;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order to
Electric Distributors, Inc., in the amount of $42,387.00 for the purchase of two loo-ft.
highmast 6000 watt lighting fixtures for the North Dock.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
11th day of April, 1994.
