RESOLUTION NO. 94-049
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION
GRANT FUNDS AND SETIING THE BUDGET FOR ADA
RENOVATIONS TO THE LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the Seward Community Library has been awarded a Library Services
and Construction Act Title II grant to construct a safe and handicapped accessible
entrance to the facility's lower level and a safe fire exit from the main floor; and
WHEREAS, this grant will fund $26,622 of the estimated $60,000 total cost of the
project; and
WHEREAS, in 1992, the city established Fund No. 218, Library Handicapped
Access Capital Project Account; and

WHEREAS, Fund No. 218 currently contains $13,335 to go towards the city's share
of the project; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Capital Acquisition Fund to cover the
remaining cost of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A Library Services and Construction Act Title II grant in the amount
of $26,622 is hereby accepted and appropriated to the Library Handicapped Access
Capital Project Fund No. 218.
Section 2. The sum of $20,693 is hereby appropriated from the Capital Acquisition
Fund to the Library Handicapped Accessible Capital Project Fund No. 218.
Section 3. The Library Handicapped Accessible Capital Project Fund Budget is
hereby amended to establish the following expenditures by line item:

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
25th day of April, 1994.
