CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-053
A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH METCO, INC., TO
CONSTRUCT THE NEW BOAT LAUNCH RAMP
WHEREAS, the city received three bids in response to its request for bids to construct
a new boat launch ramp on the east side of the Small Boat Harbor; and
WHEREAS, METCO, Inc., submitted the low bid; and
WHEREAS, METCO, Inc., has been determined to be a responsible bidder and the bid
received was responsive to the city's request for bids; and
WHEREAS, this project will be constructed with state grant funds received by the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with METCO,
Inc., for the construction of a boat launch ramp and center float structure in accordance with the
bid documents for a price not to exceed $369,569.00.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th
day of May, 1994.
