RESOLUTION NO. 94-069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AN ALPAR GRANT
AND A BOROUGH GRANT FOR LITTER PATROL AND
CITY BEAUTIFICATION AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has received a grant totalling $2,100 from the Alaskans
for Litter Prevention and Recycling (ALPAR) and a grant totalling $2,100 from the Kenai
Peninsula Borough for the putpOse of hiring local youth to perform litter control and city
beautification; and
WHEREAS, this program will be organized and administered by the city Parks and
Recreation Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An ALP AR grant totalling $2,100 and a Kenai Peninsula Borough grant
totalling $2,100 are hereby ACCEPTED to the ALPAR Special Project Revenue Account 215-
2152-4680-Q900.
Section 2. The sum of $4,200 is hereby appropriated to the ALPAR Expenditures,
Account Number 215-2152-XXXX.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
23rd day of May, 1994.
