OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING TIm FISCAL YEAR 1995
CAPITAL BUDGET TO COVER INCREASED COSTS OF CONSTRUCTION
OF WATERFRONT PARK PUBLIC RESTROOMS AND AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO SWENSON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
WHEREAS, the city of Seward solicited proposals to design/build a restroom and
shower facility meeting ADA requirements in Waterfront Park; and
WHEREAS, the lowest proposal submitted exceeds the funding available for the project
by approximately $40,000.00; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to provide adequate handicap-accessible restroom
and shower facilities in the city's main campground;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO~C~ OF TIm
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Fiscal Year 1995 city capital budget is hereby amended by appropriating
$39,364.86 from the General Fund Fund Balance Account No. 101-3070-0283 to the Waterfront
Park Restroom and Shower Facility Project Account No. 283-2830-XXXX.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a contract to Swenson
Construction Company to design/build a waterfront restroom and shower facility for a total
contract price not to exceed $164,000.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 13th
day of June, 1994.
