A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEW ARD~ ALASKA, ADOYfING THE RECOMMENDED PL
FOR FOREST ACRES CAMPGROUND AND PARK AND APPRO
$15,110 TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
TO REMOVE EXISTING DAMAGED AND FALLEN TRE
BRANCHES FROM THE PARK

AND
WHEREAS, Councilmembers and the public continue to
improvements to the Forest Acres campground and park; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department s developed a phased development
plan to implement the suggested improvements; and
WHEREAS, initial clearing, which was ac mplished last year, has left behind an
unattractive gathering of dead trees, stumps, dam ed trees and broken branches; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public intere to complete the clean-up of this unsightly area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
CITY OF SEW ARD~ ALASKA~ that.
OLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
Section 1. The Forest Ac s Campground and Park Plan incorporated in the June 27,
1994, memorandum from PaT and Recreation Director Karin Sturdy, a copy of which is
attached and made a part he f by reference, is hereby APPROVED.
m of $15,110 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund
Balance to the Parks d Recreation Department budget, Account No. 101-1410-5380, to
complete the remov of existing damaged and fallen trees and branches.
