OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A VENDOR PERMIT
FOR QUTEKCAK NATIVE TRIBE FOR ACTIVITIES DURING
TIm SECOND ANNUAL NATIVE SOBRIETY POW WOW
WHEREAS, the Seward City Code provides that solicitation of funds or sales on city
property is prohibited unless specifically authorized by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Qutekcak Native Tribe is hosting the second annual Native Sobriety
Pow Wow in Seward July 16-17, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Qutekcak Native Tribe has requested a special use permit to provide
for vendor booths to be placed at the Boulder Stadium baseball field to sell native crafts and
baked goods; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the revenues will go towards hosting other "Pro-Sobriety"
events in Seward;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIm CITY co~ca OF TIm
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Qutekcak Native Tribe is hereby authorized to issue permits to vendors
for the sale of goods and/or the solicitation of funds on city property located in and around
Boulder Stadium baseball field for the period July 16-17, 1994, in accordance with the terms and
conditions set forth on the vendor permit attached and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 11th
day of July, 1994.
