CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-181
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO AFOGNAK LOGGING TO PERFORM
ON-CALL SNOW PLOWING AND SANDING SERVICES FOR
NASH ROAD, THE SMIC AREA AND LOWELL POINT ROAD
WHEREAS, a request for proposals to perform snow plowing and sanding services for
Nash Road, Lowell Point Road and other on-call work was properly advertised; and
WHEREAS, only one proposal was received in response to the RFP; and
WHEREAS, Afognak's bid was responsive to the proposal; and
WHEREAS, the FY 1995 budget contains $20,000 for plowing and sanding Nash Road
and the SMIC area and $8,000 for plowing and sanding Lowell Point Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a contract to Afognak
Logging to perform on-call snow plowing and sanding services for Nash Road and the SMIC are
for an amount not to exceed $20,000.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to award a contract to Afognak
Logging to perform on-call plowing and sanding services for Lowell Point Road for an amount
not to exceed $8,000.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 26th
day of September, 1994.
