CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-187
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING THE AMENDED COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT WITH ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME TO
CONSTRUCT TWO FLOATS FOR THE NORTHEAST BOAT RAMP AND
ADJACENT RESTROOM FACILITIES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, on July 12, 1993, the City Council approved Resolution No. 93-104,
approving a cooperative agreement between the city and the Alaska Department of Fish and
Game for boat launch ramp improvements; and
WHEREAS, on December 13, 1993, the City Council approved Resolution No. 93-182,
appropriating the $400,000 received from Department ofFish and Game and authorizing the city
to proceed with the preliminary design of the Small Boat Harbor northeast launch ramp; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Fish and Game has agreed to the city's request for
additional funding in the amount of $60,000 to purchase materials for two side floats for the
northeast launch ramp and an adjacent restroom facility; and
WHEREAS, the administration recommends that the Council appropriate administrative
overhead charges totalling $46,000 back to the project in order to complete the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The amended cooperative agreement between the City of Seward and the
Alaska Department of Fish and Game, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by
reference, is hereby ACCEPTED.
Section 2. The sum of $60,000 is hereby appropriated from State Grant Revenue Account
No. 2850-0000-4680-0200, the sum of $31,054.61 is appropriated from Operating Transfers In--
General Fund Account No. 285-0000-3070-0000, and the sum of$14,954.39 is appropriated from
General Fund Project Management Revenues Account No. 101-4410-0410.
Section 3. The total sum of $106,000 appropriated under Section 2, above, is hereby
appropriated to Boat Launch Project Account No. 285-2850-5XXX.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 10th
day of October, 1994.
