CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-188
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE PHASE
II CONSTRUCTION OF THE SEWARD TRANSMISSION LINE
WHEREAS, the City properly advertised a request for bids for the Phase II Construction
of the Seward Transmission Line; and
WHEREAS, three firms responded to the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bid for this project was in the amount of $2,215,156.90;
and
WHEREAS, the funds available for this project do not exceed $1,800,000; and
WHEREAS, Seward City Code S6.10.230 authorizes the City Council to reject any and
all bids; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to reject all bids for this project because the
apparent low bid exceeds the funds available for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Council hereby rejects all bids for the Phase II Construction of the
Seward Transmission Line.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 10th
day of October, 1994.
