CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-201
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF LEGAL FUNDS RELATED TO THE J.W.T. ANDERSON LITIGATION
WHEREAS, a total of $5,000 was appropriated in the FY 1995 budget for the J.W.T.
Anderson litigation; and
WHEREAS, the cost of attorney fees and expert consultants has exceeded the original
legal budget; and
WHEREAS, although the administration is recommending that the Council approve
settlement of this litigation, some additional legal costs will be incurred;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend legal funds for subject
matter No. 4104, J.W.T. Anderson vs. City of Seward, in an amount not to exceed $30,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 28th
day of November, 1994.
