RESOLUTION NO. 94-204
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM RETAINED
EARNINGS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE NASH ROAD
12.5 KV DISTRIBUTION FEEDER
WHEREAS, Council approved $250,000 in the FY 1995 budget for construction of the
12.5 kV Distribution Feeder along Nash Road between SMIC and the end of the existing 12.5
kV feeder on Nash Road; and
WHEREAS, this feeder is designed to tie the Spring Creek Substation with the Ft.
Raymond Substation to allow power transfer between the two substations and to balance loads
between the two; and
WHEREAS, this feeder will also provide electrical power along Nash Road on the East
Side of the Bay, enhancing the possibility of residential construction in this area; and
WHEREAS, in order to begin expending funds, it is necessary to transfer the identified
funds from the retained earnings account to a capital projects account;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $250,000 is hereby transferred from the Electric Enterprise Fund
Retained Earnings Transfer Account No. 501-0000-3070-0209 to the 12.5 kV Feeder Special
Projects Account No. 209-2090-3070-0000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 28th
day of November, 1994.
