CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-005
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE ALASKA
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL BOARD FOR ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS
PREVENTING DWI BY MINORS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Alaska Highway Safety Planning Agency has approved a grant to the
Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to pass through to local communities for the purpose of
funding overtime spent in juvenile DWI prevention enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Police Department has been awarded a grant in the amount of
$7,500 under this program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A grant in the amount of$7,500 from the Alaska Alcoholic Beverage Control
Board for the enforcement of laws preventing DWI by minors is hereby ACCEPTED.
Section 2. The sum of $7,500 is hereby appropriated to Police Department revenue
account number 293-2931-4680-0200 and Police Department overtime expense line item account
number 101-1210-5020 is hereby increased in the amount of $7,500.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th
day of January, 1995.
