RESOLUTION NO. 95-013
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE LEASE OF A XEROX
5100 COPIER WITHOUT FULL UTILIZATION OF CITY
BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the lease agreement for the City's Xerox 1090 copier will expire in
February, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the downtime on the Xerox 1090 has continued to increase thereby
causing delays in larger copying projects; and
WHEREAS, Xerox has recommended the lease of an upgrade model Xerox 5100
copier which contains many features that will increase efficiency and allow for
customizing of copying productions including tab insertion, 3 position stapler, larger
paper size, faster copying speed and larger paper tray capacity; and
WHEREAS, the monthly lease payment will be approximately $58.00 less per
month due to the reduced meter charge; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted to cover the lease cost of the new copier;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement
with Xerox for the purpose of leasing a Xerox 5100 copier for sixty months at a rate of
$1,515.71 per month without utilizing the city's bid process.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of February, 1995.
