RESOLUTION 99-070
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
PROVIDING FORAN ADDITIONAL CAMPING SITE FEE CATEGORY OF $10.00
PER NIGHT AND $12.00 PER NIGHT EVERY JULY 3RD, 4TH, AND 5TH
WHEREAS, one portion of the administration's seven-point plan to mitigate challenges
from the most recent Independence Day celebration includes adding site markers to decrease
camper density; and
WHEREAS, site markers present a new challenge of charging per RV and/or per
camping site; and
WHEREAS, the administration recommends charging campground patrons who require
additional space the fee which would be paid by an occupying camping unit:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1.

A regular camping fees category shall be added to include a pay per site
Section 2. This new fee category shall be increased from the above listed rates on
every July 3rd, 4th and 5th to $12.00 per additional camping site.
Section 3. Fees are inclusive of the sales tax at the prevailing rate. Adjustments to
tax rates will not affect camping fees until such time as camping fees are changed again by
resolution.
Section 4.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 14
day of June, 1999.
