Sponsored by: Murphv CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 95-018 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF SEWARD THE QUESTION OF THE REPEAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 95-001 OF THE CITY OF SEWARD AT A SPECIAL ELECTION IN AND FOR THE CITY OF SEWARD ON APRIL 11, 1995 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Seward adopted Resolution No. 95-001 on January 18, 1995; and WHEREAS, Section 4.6 of the Charter of the City of Seward provides that a referendum may be had on any act of the Council in the manner and subject to the limitations as set forth by law or in the City Code; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has certified a petition to refer Resolution No. 95-001 to the qualified voters of the City of Seward as sufficient and has submitted the petition to the Council; and WHEREAS, Seward City Code S 4.15.050 A provides that if no regular election occurs within 75 days of certification of a sufficient referendum petition, the Council shall hold a special election within 75 days of submission to the Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. A special election is to be held on April 11, 1995, in and for the City of Seward, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Seward a proposition substantially in the following form: PROPOSITION NO. REPEAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 95-001 Shall Resolution No. 95-001 of the City of Seward, approving the long term lease of Lot 1, Block 7, Seward Marine Industrial Center, and a shiplift maintenance and operating agreement with Seward Ship's Drydock, be repealed? A "YES" vote supports repeal of Resolution No. 95-001. A "NO" vote opposes repeal of Resolution No. 95-001. . CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 95-018 Section 2.
