CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-135
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH
HOMELAND ENTERPRISES TO PAINT THE EXTERIOR OF
CITY HALL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, attempts to repaint and clean the exterior trim and panels of City Hall
with volunteer labor were unsuccessful; and
WHEREAS, no responses were received to a properly advertised request for bids
to repaint City Hall; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the bid closing date, the Manager of Engineering and
Utilities negotiated a contract with Homeland Enterprises to paint the panels, trim and
concrete on the exterior of City Hall for a total price of $15,600; and
WHEREAS, funds for this project are available in the Capital Acquisition Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $15,600 is hereby appropriated from the Capital Acquisition
Fund Account No. 101-1030 to the Municipal Building Account No. 101-1350.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
Homeland Enterprises in an amount not to exceed $15,600 to paint and clean the exterior
of City Hall.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
25th day of July, 1994.
