CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.2
TO THE SUMMIT PAVING CONTRACT TO PAVE DAIRY HILL ROAD
WHEREAS, on June 24, 1991, the City Council approved Resolution No. 91-037,
appropriating $50,000 to Special Project Fund No. 203-2030; and
WHEREAS, $20,000 of this appropriation was specifically set aside for future
paving of Dairy Hill Road; and
WHEREAS, paving of the road was deferred in 1991 in anticipation of installation
of a sewer line; and
WHEREAS, the sewer project was not funded by state and it now appears that
it will be several years before funds are available for the sewer project; and
and
WHEREAS, residents of the area agree that the road should be paved at this time;
WHEREAS, Summit Paving has agreed to include the paving of Dairy Hill Road
in its contract for an additional cost of $18,420;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No.2 to the Summit Paving contract, increasing the
scope of the project to include paving Dairy Hill Road and increasing the total cost of the
contract in the amount of $18,420, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
25th day of July, 1994.
