CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-140
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.3
TO THE SUMMIT PAVING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the original contract awarded to Summit Paving included paving of
various streets throughout the cityj and
WHEREAS, it has become apparent that the city did not allow for enough
patching in the contract and that it will be prudent to expand the section of the streets
scheduled for repaving to include the entire street rather than the centerj and
WHEREAS, several streets still need to be repavedj and
WHEREAS, paving of 6th Avenue from Railway to "A" Street and paving Van
Buren Street from Second to Fourth Avenue are ranked as the highest priorityj and
WHEREAS, all of the repaved streets need to be stripedj and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the paving project accounts to cover
this change orderj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No.3 to the Summit Paving Contract for street paving
and striping, increasing the scope of the contract and increasing the total cost of the
contract in the amount of $95,777, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
27th day of July, 1994.
