RESOLUTION NO. 94-145
ARESOLUTIONOFTImCITYCO~CaOFTImCITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING TIm CITY MANAGER TO
INCREASE TIm AUDIT FEES FOR SEWARD GENERAL HOSPITAL
AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council budgeted $12,600 for the hospital's FY 1994 audit; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the FY 1993 audit, the hospital acquired the facilities and
operations of the Seward Health Clinic and has received sufficient federal fmancial assistance
to require a federal single audit; and
WHEREAS, the addition of the clinic and the federal single audit were not provided for
in the April 28, 1993, engagement letter between KPMG Peat Marwick and the City of Seward;
and
WHEREAS, this increased scope of services will result in an additional audit fee
totalling $2,400;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIm CITY co~ca OF TIm
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to increase the audit fees for the FY
1994 Hospital Audit from $12,600 to $15,000.
Section 2. The sum of $2,400 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund
Balance Account No. 101-3070 to the Mayor/Council Department Audit Account No. 101-1110-
5110.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th
day of August, 1994.
