RESOLUTION 99-076
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AMENDING THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, Scott Janke has been employed with the City of Seward as City Manager since
May 1,1998; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the employment agreement between Janke
and the City by increasing the amount of salary paid to Janke; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the agreement by allowing Janke to accrue
annual leave at the maximum rate allowed in Seward City Code Section 3.45.015(3); and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to allow Janke a vehicle allowance of$l 00 per month
in order to help compensate Janke for the use of his personal vehicle while performing city business;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City of Seward enters into an agreement, attached at amendment 3 to the
employment agreement with Scott Janke which provides:
Paragraph 2 is replaced as follows: Janke shall be paid at the rate of$78,795.00 per
year. The City Council agrees to review Janke's salary annually prior to adoption of
the City's fiscal budget; and
Paragraph 3, first sentence is replaced as follows: Janke shall accrue annual leave at
the maximum rate allowed in 3.45.015(3) of the Seward City Code. Janke shall be
paid holidays in accordance with 3.50 of the Seward City Code; and
Paragraph 9 is added as follows: Janke shall be paid a vehicle allowance of$l OOpe'r
month to be paid with the first payroll of each month.
Section 2. This agreement will be effective as of May 1, 1999.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
