OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.4
TO TIm SUMMIT PAVING CONTRACT TO PAVE THE ACCESS ROAD
AND STAGING AREA FOR THE NEW HARBOR BOAT LAUNCH RAMP
WHEREAS, the new harbor boat launch ramp is now ready for public use; and
WHEREAS, the required boat launch parking lot area has been cleared and graded and
is now ready for public use; and
WHEREAS, the city wishes to pave the access road and staging area to the new launch
ramp this season to aid the public in identifying the proper traffic patterns and to distinguish the
parking area from the adjacent roadways; and
WHEREAS, Summit Paving has agreed to perform the requested paving for a total cost
of $53,500; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the harbor entetprise budget to accomplish the paving
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY co~ca OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No. 4 to the Summit Paving contract increasing the total
contract in the amount of $53,500 is hereby APPROVED.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th
day of August, 1994.
