OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING TIm EXTENSION OF
TIm JAIL CONTRACT BETWEEN TIm CITY AND TIm
ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
WHEREAS, on June 27,1994, the Council approved Resolution No. 94-088, extending
the State Jail Contract through October 31, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the contract extension received from the state and approved by the City
Council contained inaccurate figures and infonnation; and
WHEREAS, the city and the state wish to correct these inaccuracies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIm CITY co~ca OF TIm
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Resolution No. 94-088 is hereby RESCINDED.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign the Extension
of Contract for Jail Services for the period July 1, 1994, through October 31, 1994, a copy of
which is attached and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th
day of August, 1994.
