OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS FROM TIm
STATE OF ALASKA, CAPITAL MATCHING GRANT PROJECTS PROGRAM
FOR GATEWAY SUBDIVISION LAND ACQUlSmON/PARK CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska awarded two capital matching grants to the City of
Seward for projects submitted under the Capital Project Matching Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, one of the projects consists of the acquisition of land in the Gateway
Subdivision and the development of a neighborhood park for area and city residents; and
WHEREAS, the state is providing a total of $59,200.00 for the project and the city
share, totalling $10,859.00, will be contributed by in-house, in-kind services and possible land
trades with neighborhood land owners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIm CITY co~ca OF TIm
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Gateway Subdivision land acquisition/park: development project is hereby
accepted for funding for Fiscal Year 1995 under the State's Municipal Capital Project Matching
Grant Program.
Section 2. Funds totalling $59,200.00 are hereby accepted from the State and the city
will contribute a total of $10,859.00 by providing in-house, in-kind services and possible land
trades with neighborhood land owners.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
22nd day of August, 1994.
