RESOLUTION NO. 94-158
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A
PURCHASE ORDER TO DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION FOR
RENEWAL OF THE SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR THE FINANCE
DEPARTMENT COMPUTER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City entered into a service agreement with Digital Equipment
Corporation for service of the fmance department computer system in 1989; and
WHEREAS, the agreement covers the maintenance and repairs of the computer, the
computer operating system and peripheral equipment; and
WHEREAS, the support and service from Digital Equipment Corporation has been
satisfactory; and
WHEREAS, funds are budgeted within the fmance department for the cost of the service
agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order in the
amount of $12,420 to Digital Equipment Corporation for renewal of the City's service agreement
for the fmance department's computer system.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
22nd day of August, 1994.
