RESOLUTION NO. 94-159
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ESTABLISHING ADMINISTRATIVE FILING
FEES ASSOCIATED WITH LAND MANAGEMENT, SIGNS AND ZONING
WHEREAS, there are certain administrative costs associated with the assignment and
sublet of city leased lands which benefit and should be borne by the lessees of city property; and
WHEREAS, SCC ~ 7.05.51O(A)(I) provides for the establishment of appropriate fees
to cover the issuance of encroachment permits; and
WHEREAS, SCC ~ 8.15.220 provides for the establishment of an annual permit fee for
mobile home and camper parks; and
WHEREAS, SCC ~ 12. 10. 025 (E) and ~ 12. 10. 055 (B) provide for the establishment of
sign permit and variance application fees; and
WHEREAS, SCC ~ 15.01.045 provides for the establishment of fees to defray a
significant portion of the administration costs associated with processing wning related
applications and SCC ~ 15.1O.41O(E) provides for an appeal application filing fee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Administrative filing fees are hereby established, as set forth in the fee
schedule, attached and incorporated herein by reference, to defray the costs of copying, certified
mailing, publications, staff preparation and research, transcripts and other costs including
attorney fees, for public initiated permits and applications associated with land management,
signs and wning within the City of Seward.
Section 2. All resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
22nd day of August, 1994.
