RESOLUTION NO. 94-160
A RESOLUTION OF TIm CITY COUNcaOF TIm CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING TIm PURCHASE OF A MOTOR GRADER
FOR TIm PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FROM PACIFIC NORTH EQUIPMENT
COMPANY SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF FINANCING
WHEREAS, the City issued a request for proposals for a 1995 motor grader in
accordance with city bid procedures; and
WHEREAS, two fmns responded with proposals; and
WHEREAS, Pacific North Equipment Co. submitted the low bid for the equipment; and
WHEREAS, if this purchase is approved, the Finance Department will seek
lease/purchase fmancing from available sources for approval by the City Council at a later date;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIm CITY COUNCa OF TIm
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The purchase of a 1995 Champion 740R Motor Grader from Pacific North
Equipment Co. in the amount of $151,054 (FOB Seward) is hereby approved.
Section 2. The purchase of this equipment is contingent upon City Council approval of
an equipment lease/purchase financing agreement.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
22nd day of August, 1994.
