RESOLUTION NO. 96-003
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RENAMING PARK PLACE LOCATED
WITHIN THE PARK PLACE SUBDIVISION AS CLIFF VIEW PLACE
WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough is enhancing its existing 911 emergency
communication system to provide more effective emergency communications; and
WHEREAS, in order to prevent emergency dispatch confusion, it is essential that existing
street names which conflict with or duplicate another existing street be officially renamed; and
WHEREAS, within the City of Seward there is a "Parks Place" which was platted within
the Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision in 1966 and a "Park Place" which was platted in 1988 within the
Park Place Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission, at its regular meeting of
December 6,1995, recommended that the City Council change the name of Park Place to Cliff View
Place;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The north-south right-of-way presently platted as "Park Place" within the Park
Place Subdivision is hereby renamed "Cliff View Place."
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th day
ofJanuary,1996.
