RESOLUTION NO. 96-004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.1
TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND RONALD F. KROHN
IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000 AND EXTENDING THE
COMPLETION DATE
WHEREAS, on May 8, 1995, the City Council approved Resolution No. 95-042, authorizing
a contract with Ronald F. Krohn to provide inspection services for the Seward Transmission Line
Project, Phase II; and
WHEREAS, the original inspection contract amount was $50,000 for services through
October 31,1995; and
WHEREAS, the construction contractor, City Electric, exceeded the scheduled completion
date necessitating the retention of Mr. Krohn for one additional month while the contractor
completed construction; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Krohn is now working on a swnmarization of the project documents to
prepare for discussions with the contractor regarding unresolved change order issues; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that this work will continue through January, 1996, requiring
a modification of the contract amount and completion date;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No. 1 to the City's contract with Ronald F. Krohn for
Transmission Line Phase II Inspection Services increasing the contract in an amount not to exceed
$25,000 and extending the completion date of the contract to January 30,1996, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th day
ofJanuary, 1996.
