RESOLUTION NO. 96-021
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCn. OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, EXTENDING THE CONTRACT WITH
KPMG PEAT MARWICK FOR AUDIT SERVICES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1996
WHEREAS, KPMG Peat Marwick has been the city's auditor since 1990; and
WHEREAS, the City Council requested that the administration negotiate extension of the
audit services contract for one additional year for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996; and
WHEREAS, KPMG Peat Marwick has proposed to extend the contract for a cost of $60,000
which is $2,000 less than the cost of the FY 1995 audit; and
WHEREAS, KPMG has further proposed to extend audit services for FY 1997 and FY 1998
at a cost of $60,000 for each year as an option to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCn. OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The contract for audit services with KPMG Peat Marwick is hereby extended for
one additional year at a cost of $60,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 12th
day of February, 1996.
