CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR
ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City properly advertised a request for proposals for animal control services;
and
WHEREAS, one proposal was received from Dee Johnson in response to the request for
proposals; and
WHEREAS, following careful review ofthe proposal, it was found to be in compliance with
all requirements listed in the proposal specifications; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is from March 1 to June 30 with an option to renew for one
additional year; and
WHEREAS, the contractor served as animal control officer for the city in the past and has
participated in training programs, acquired necessary certifications and initiated many animal control
programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The contract for animal control services in the amount of$13,263, between the
City of Seward and Dee Johnson for the period March 1, 1996, through June 30, 1996, with an
option to extend for one additional year, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 12 day
of February, 1996.
