RESOLUTION NO. 96-024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE LEGAL BUDGET
BY TRANSFERRING $5,,000 FROM THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT
SUBJECT MATTER TO THE JONES V. CITY SUBJECT MATTER
WHEREAS, Tyler Jones has appealed the U. S. District Court's dismissal of his case to the
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals; and
WHEREAS, the city's answer to the appeal will require additional unbudgeted legal work
by the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund legal subject matter account to cover
the estimated cost of preparing the necessary documents to answer the appeal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $5,000 is hereby transferred from legal subject matter No. 100 I,
General Government, to legal subject matter No. 1025, Jones v. City of Seward, Account No. 101-
1115-5170-1025.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 26th
day of February, 1996.
