CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-027
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
TRAVEL AND TRAINING BUDGETS
WHEREAS, budgeted training funds were insufficient to cover all attendees at the Newly
Elected Officials Seminar sponsored by the Alaska Municipal League; and
WHEREAS, the cost of hosting the September and December 1995 Kenai Peninsula
Municipal Coalition meetings and the cost of attendance by the Council at the Alaska Municipal
League's annual conference exceeded the amount budgeted; and
WHEREAS, events outside the control of the City have and will continue to require the
Mayor to travel to Juneau to lobby on behalf of the City, and the number of such trips will exceed
the number budgeted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Account No. 101-1110-5140, Mayor and Council Travel, is hereby amended by
transferring to it the sum of$2,500 from the General Fund Fund Balance Account No. 101-3050.
Section 2. Account No. 101-1110-5160, Mayor and Council Training, is hereby amended
by transferring to it the sum of $500 from the General Fund Fund Balance Account No.1 01-3050.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 26th
day of February, 1996.
