RESOLUTION NO. 96-029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH
WILDER CONSTRUCTION TO DRIVE PILING AND INSTALL THE
NEW "X" FLOAT ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR
WHEREAS, the City properly advertised and received bids from five qualified firms to
remove 21 piles which support the existing "X" float on the east side of the Harbor and install in its
place a new "X" float which has already been constructed by harbor personnel; and
WHEREAS, piling has already been purchased for this project and will be available at the
site for the contractor; and
WHEREAS, in addition, a new fuel dock has been constructed by Harbor Enterprises and
will be installed at approximately the same time as the new "X" float; and
WHEREAS, the successful low bidder was Wilder Construction with a bid of $83,900; and
WHEREAS, funding for this contract is available in Capital Project No. 278-2781;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Wilder
Construction to drive piling and install the new "X" float on the east side of the Small Boat Harbor
for an amount not to exceed $83,900.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11th
day of March, 1996.
