CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-030
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDERS TO THE
METCO CONTRACTS FOR SNOW REMOVAL AT NASH ROAD
AND LOWELL POINT ROAD AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, Metco, Inc., was awarded a contract in an amount not to exceed $20,000 to
perform snow plowing and sanding of Nash Road; and
WHEREAS, Metco was also awarded a contract in an amount not to exceed $8,604 to sand
and plow Lowell Point Road; and
WHEREAS, heavy snows in February depleted the snow plowing and sanding budgets for
these two contracts; and
WHEREAS, in order to assure coverage for the rest of the winter season, it is necessary to
increase each contract in the amount of $5,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change orders in the amount of $5,000 each are hereby approved for the
METCO, Inc., contracts to perform snow plowing and sanding on Nash Road and Lowell Point Road
respectively.
Section 2. The sum of $ 10,000 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund Balance
Account No. 101-3070 to the Street, Snow and Ice Control Contract Services Account No. 101-
1314-5390.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
